Inspired by the vivid storytelling of Indian cinema, Dreams of Bollywood weaves together orchestral sound, powerful vocals, and expressive movement with the electrifying energy of Bollywood music and dance. Featuring an extraordinary cast led by choreographer Rameez Karim and conductor Daniel Black, the concert blends newly commissioned works with beloved Bollywood classics, including hit songs by A.R. Rahman, Pritam, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and more, specially arranged to unleash the full colour, power, and richness of your Calgary Phil. Celebrating the centennial of renowned naturalist David Attenborough, OCEAN in Concerttakes viewers on a breathtaking journey showing there is nowhere more vital for our survival, more full of life, wonder or surprise, than the ocean. With narration by Attenborough and a score by Academy Award- and BAFTA-winning composer Steven Price, this immersive presentation features the Santa Barbara Symphony under guest conductor Daniel Black performing live and in sync with the stunning imagery on screen. Celebrate the warmth and joy of the holiday season with the Idaho Falls Symphony’s Search Series III, led by the third finalist in our Music Director Search. This festive annual tradition brings together beloved seasonal music, family favorites, and cherished holiday moments in a concert designed to delight audiences of all ages.
The evening features classic holiday selections including Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride, music from The Polar Express, and timeless favorites such as The Christmas Song and Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, featuring the return of local favorite Jordan Bowman.
Adding to the magic of the evening, dancers from the Idaho Falls School of Ballet will perform selections from Tchaikovsky’s beloved Nutcracker Suite, bringing the beauty and wonder of this holiday classic to life on stage.
Join us for an evening filled with music, tradition, and holiday cheer as the Idaho Falls Symphony continues the search for its next Music Director.
